Call me crazy...

Scott's been asking for a pet hamster for a while now. We finally caved and got him 2 little Chinese Dwarf Hamsters from Petsmart today- complete with fancy cage. They are actually kind of cute.

What a week it's been! Doug made it home Friday night, and came with gifts! Here's a picture of Eddie admiring Scott's new hat.

It's a bird... it's a... no, it's really a bird!

Well, Doug left for Boston for the week this morning, and it got started off with a bang- or should I say flutter... isn't a bird in the house a bad omen?
Here's a picture of the stupid bird perched up on the ceiling fan, and then trying to get out the kitchen window- his eventual route of escape. I'm guessing Ebony brought him in, judging by the blood on the floor and wall by the cat door. Fun stuff!

Off to a better start

This week is definitely off to a better start! We got our new fridge installed yesterday from Lowe's- it's fancy, with french doors and all! Much to my surprise, the front of it is NOT magnetic! How can that be? How can you have a fridge with no magnets on the front? That's just nuts.

Overdue

Ok, here are the ultrasound pics for Thing 4. I know they are long overdue being posted, and most of you have seen them already, but the kids asked why I didn't post them yet, so here they are. We still don't know if it's a boy or girl... the ultrasound tech assured us that the "leg shot" seen below means nothing as far as gender goes, so no assuming it's a girl.

Back from the hotel

We are back at home as of yesterday afternoon. The power company was surprisingly fast getting the pole back up and the power restored. Now we have another problem- no freezer or fridge! It took a total dive on us yesterday when we got home. All the places that will come take a look at it can't until Monday, which means by then everything in it will be nastified and trash! So not sure what we're going to about that one yet. Definitely eating out for breakfast today!

Myrtle Beach video

What a busy week so far- after coming home from Myrtle Beach on Labor Day, the boys only had 3 days of school this week, thanks to Tropical Storm/Hurricane Hanna. Schools all over Charleston are closed today. On top of that, a power line in our back yard burst in to flames and broke off- so now we have no power at home either! Since we're on a well, we have an electric well pump- so no power means no water. No water means no flushing toilets. Being pregnant and living with 4 males, I couldn't stand it- so we are back at a hotel AGAIN for the night!

We are back from our mini-vacation in Myrtle Beach! We had a good time visiting the Ripley's Aquarium, Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum/Odditorium, Hard Rock Cafe, and hanging out in the 22 pools and beach at the hotel!
